Title: No Boundaries (flip-side)
Characters: Ten/Rose, Sean
Rating: Adult-ish
Summary: Locks on doors have no meaning to the Doctor's children either.
“Don’t swear,” the Doctor teased playfully as he left Rose in a trembling heap on the pillow.
She weakly muttered the word, “Bastard,” as she tried to pull herself back together.
Cheerfully clucking his disapproval at her choice of words, he began to crawl forward and pressed a soft kiss to her belly. That was followed by another to her navel and more as he worked his way slowly upward.
Inch by inch he drew a long steady line of kisses up her belly and across her sternum before nibbling gently at her neck.
“Watch your language,” he warned as his fingers retraced the path backward.
It only took one expert touch to send her back over the edge and another to have her swearing at him again as she writhed in exquisite agony.
“Tisk tisk,” he scolded, beaming smugly at her the entire time. “Such hard words. If you keep calling me those names, I don’t think I will.”
With an ornery grin, he rolled off her and made a show of settling into a comfortable position on the pillow.
Rose narrowed her eyes at him. She was tired of the games.
“Get over here,” she commanded.
“Not until you apologize,” the Doctor chirped.
There was nothing Rose felt she needed to apologize for. Instead she let out a deep growl: “Now.”
“Yes, Ma’am.” He obediently rolled back over and resumed his position. “Where were we?”
“Idiot,” Rose laughed, pulling him down to her.
“So you’ve told me,” he grinned before pressing his lips to hers. “Many times.” He kissed her cheek. “Before.”
Playfully nipping at her ear, he shifted his hips and guided himself into her, smiling against her neck at her customary gasp. She may expect it, but she was never fully ready for the charge of temperature and fizz of pheromones that accompanied their union.
Fingernails stung his back as she clung to him, pulling him closer as she raised her hips to meet him.
Things hadn’t progressed terribly far when two bright blue eyes peered over the side of the mattress and a familiar voice asked, “Daddy?”
The Doctor stopped mid-thrust and turned to look at his son.
“Yes, Sean?”
“Isn’t the crest of a Kolfatu yellow?”
Rose dropped her head back onto the pillow in frustration. Once again her youngest son had completely ignored her rule about locked bedroom doors to ask his father a question.
Above her the Doctor spent a few seconds longer than usual to contemplate the answer. It was difficult for him to respond to any thought provoking inquiries while he was otherwise occupied.
“Yes, it is,” he said at last and then waved Sean back out the door.
“What part of blood and death do they not understand?” Rose groused. “’Don’t unlock that door unless you are dead or bleeding,’ I said. Is that so difficult to comprehend?”
“It is only Sean,” the Doctor said, trying to placate her. “The others don’t.”
Rose pressed her hands to his shoulders and gave him a little shove.
“I’m not in the mood anymore.”
“But…” he whimpered, trying to woo her with his puppy eyes, but to no avail because she simply shook her head and pushed him harder.
With a disappointed groan he rolled off her and flopped back on the other pillow. The two of them laid together in an uncomfortable silence for a few moments that felt more like an eternity.
“I guess I’ll go talk to him again,” he said finally.
Swinging his feet off the bed he swept up his trousers and tugged them on. Jackie wouldn’t appreciate meeting him in the corridors when he was naked.
Rose on the other hand had grumpily tugged the duvet back over herself and looked like she was contemplating sleep as an alternative activity. Honestly the Doctor couldn’t fault her for that. She needed as much rest as she could get.
With five children, every moment of sleep was precious.
As was any moment they could find time to be alone together.
Walking out of the room, he pondered the possibility of fashioning a lock that could not be opened by his more inquisitive son to avoid any more inconvenient interruptions, but he doubted that would last long.
Sean was quite adept at solving any problem if he set his mind to it, and a simple bedroom lock wouldn’t stand a chance.
The thought left him with a smug grin.
He and Rose had made some very clever children together. He couldn’t help but be proud of them, even when they left him feeling frustrated.

Date: 2010-08-16 08:11 am (UTC)So has some member of the extended family commented yet to Rose that she doesn't need to attempt to repopulate the Time Lord species by herself? Because I just got an image of Mickey (or maybe Pete) saying that to her. Ha.
