Title: Denying the Obvious

Characters: Ten/Rose, Donna
Rating: All

Disclaimer: Not now, never will be.

Setting: Journey’s End was a lie. Rose returned and she, Donna and the Doctor are traveling the universe together.

Summary:The Doctor attempts to disguise a broken rule.

Author’s Note: I write too much angst, so I thought I would write some fluff. Unbetaed so please forgive any errors, but feel free to point them out.

“Rose...” the Doctor whispered as he shook her gently.

She shrugged him away as she attempted to go back to sleep. Why did he have to go waking her up like that?

“Rose, wake up. Donna is going to be awake any minute.”

Rose moaned in disgust. Obviously there was no chance of going back to sleep. She groggily sat up and rubbed her eyes, grumbling, “What is it?”

He didn't answer her, just shoved her t-shirt and shorts at her. In her sleep addled state, it took her a moment to realize they were in the console room. She laughed as she took the garments out of his hand. Remembering how they had broken one of Donna’s rules just a few hours ago.

“Could have just carried me to my room,” she complained as she pulled the top over her head, and tugged it down over her distending belly.

“You have two feet,” he said as he glanced at the view screen and added, “Hurry.”

Rose rolled her eyes, as she climbed off the jump seat and pulled her shorts up around her waist. Bending over was becoming difficult now, he could have at least helped her if he wanted her to do it a bit more quickly.

“You're just afraid of hurting me, you coward,” she teased as she moved toward him and wrapped her arms around his waist. “I promise I’m not going to break.”

The Doctor turned her face up toward his as he bent down to kiss her. He wasn’t going to argue with her because he knew she would win. She was correct in her assumption. He was just too worried something could go wrong, as everything else was going so right.

“Common areas!” Donna shouted from the doorway.

The sudden noise made the both the Doctor and Rose nearly jump out of their skins. Rose threw her arms away from the Doctor as if to pretend she hadn’t been involved, which unfortunately, caused the Doctor to stumble backward a bit too close to an open panel. He fell backward with a heavy thump.

“Donna!” he complained.

Donna stamped over to the panel and stared down at him.

“You know the rules.”

He crossed his arms over his chest and fumed, “It was only a kiss.”

“Right, and you take off half your clothes to work on the TARDIS. Not buying it.”

The Doctor looked over at Rose to help him, but she was busy stifling a laugh. Furrowing his brows he pointed accusingly at her.

“You do this on purpose!”

Rose merely laughed harder, holding her sides as she sank back against the jump seat. If she did do it on purpose to get him in trouble, she’d never admit it.

Donna wagged her finger at him as she stated, “You, Mister, need to get your clothes back on. You owe me a shopping trip.”

He climbed to his feet and hoisted himself out of the hole, arguing, “You didn’t see anything but a kiss. That doesn’t deserve a shopping trip.”

“A kiss in the console room, which brings back memories of other things which I have witnessed in here. You owe me, Mister.”

“Rose…” the Doctor pleaded as he looked at his lover, hoping for someone to back him up.

“Oh! I need clothes, too. These are getting snug,” she said, before turning to tell Donna, “We’ll get him to take us to Pthalferam 9. It has the best shops.”

With a sigh, the Doctor sank back against the console. He didn’t like being out numbered. Watching the girls disappear back through the doorway, he gazed at Rose’s rounding belly.

Soon there would be three women ordering him around.

And with how he felt about Rose Tyler, that number was likely to grow.

A/N: I hope you enjoyed the fluffiness, as I am back to my series of angst, working on more prompts for my Two Months series I should have been finished with last year. I just finished Day 59 in my new backward writing order, and I don't want to spam the communities.

That last line is just awesome. Poor Doctor...even though he knows he likes it. He'd just never admit it. :) Wonderful fluff!
