I don't know if they do or not either, but the back story to this involves a house party and a friend of the Doctor's. The ladies of the house were none to pleased with either that rose was in such a condition to begin with, then to have her give birth... Oh dear.
But I will say, given the past history on the other children's births, this one was rather easy. And Rose has never had a single drug during childbirth, more for lack of them each time she given birth, so it is a bit of a tradition, I suppose.
